The Lavaque Winery is located in the town of San Rafael, in the southern region of the Mendoza Province. The lavaque family handcrafts Rio Seco wines using grapes from the same vineyards that Jose Lavaque planted in 1889. hese ancient vines grow in alluvial soils at an altitude of 2,297 feet.  Snowmelt from the majestic Andes’ provides pristine water  for irrigation. These unique vineyards produce grapes with thin and delicate skins that ensure wines of refined complexity and the highest quality.
